In January, for the first time the underlying operations were profitable due to the combined benefits of the Flammazine acquisition and cost savings programmes. I am very pleased that we have now built a sustainable business model.
Sinclair Pharma is committed to providing support for chosen charitable organisations . We encourage Sinclair staff in all countries to find different ways of providing such support. We find that this helps develop close associations between our staff and chosen charities and, importantly, helps our staff better understand not only how the charitable organisations operate but also how their work changes lives in their fields.
As an example, staff in our UK office have run half marathons to support Bliss, the UK special care baby charity and Cancer Research UK. Staff are encouraged to donate some of their annual leave to support charities. As an example, one of our UK staff used time off providing professional advice and support to Sue Ryder Care, a UK charity that supports people with specialist palliative, end of life and long-term neurological care needs.
We are looking to further expand the support we provide through our employees and are always looking for innovative ways of providing such support.
