Silhouette Soft vs Hyaluronic Acid

During the ageing process, volume is lost and tissue sags, creating an aged appearance. Silhouette Soft and dermal fillers are different methods of non-surgical rejuvenation designed to treat different symptoms of ageing and can give quite different results.

Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Fillers restore volume in the hollowed areas of the face, and reduce visibility of fine lines and deeper wrinkles in the face. Hyaluronic acid is naturally produced in the skin however, production is reduced during the ageing process. Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers can give a range of results depending on the desired effects and skills of the physician.

Hyaluronic acid (HA) filler can give results ranging from natural rejuvenation, to a more filled and recontoured facial rejuvenation. HA is a temporary filler, which can last anywhere between 6-181,2 months depending on a variety of factors, including depth of injection, brand and age.

Silhouette Soft sutures ‘lift’ sagging tissue in the face, to reposition them. Silhouette Soft is indicated* to treat the mild-to-moderate sagging tissue of the jawline and cheekbone area. Silhouette Soft is made of two series of bidirectional cones along a suture; one set to anchor the suture and the other to elevate and reposition the sagging skin and tissue. Silhouette Soft offers a unique dual action, tissue repositioning and regeneration. Silhouette Soft delivers natural results, for a rejuvenated and refreshed look for patients.

The added benefit to Silhouette Soft, includes the long-term stimulation of collagen production in the skin. Silhouette Soft stimulate the production of collagen type I over a longer period of time3. This means the results continue to be seen after the Silhouette Soft sutures are resorbed naturally.

Both procedures are non-surgical options, considered to be minimally invasive, using only local anaesthetics to inject or insert the sutures. Overall Silhouette Soft is ideal for the patient looking for a more refreshed and natural look, and patients can expect to see results improving over a period of time, whereas HA fillers are designed for filling lost volume.
